What is Bolt?
Bolt feels like sitting next to a very fast developer. You type a prompt, and a complete project appears in a browser-based editor, with files on the left, a running preview on the right and a terminal humming underneath, all without installing anything on your machine.
We enjoyed being able to switch between chatting and editing code by hand. If you know a bit of JavaScript you can fix small things yourself; if not, just ask. Deploying to a live URL takes a click, which makes sharing a demo painless.
Token usage is the thing to watch. Large projects and repeated fixes eat into your allowance quickly, and occasionally the AI rewrites more than you asked. Still, for weekend projects and quick prototypes it is hard to beat for sheer speed.
