Highlight a clumsy sentence and get a handful of better-sounding alternatives in seconds.
Wordtune does one thing really well: it takes a sentence you have already written and offers you better versions of it. Highlight a line, and it suggests rewrites, or you can ask it to make the text more casual, more formal, shorter or longer.
We found it most useful for emails and posts where the meaning is right but the wording is not. Because it gives you several options instead of one, it feels more like a thesaurus for whole sentences than an AI that takes over your writing.
The free plan comes with a daily cap on rewrites, which runs out fast if you lean on it. Plus at $13.99 a month lifts the limits and adds extras like summarizing longer documents.
Best for: Writers who like their own drafts but want smoother phrasing
Smoothing out wording in professional emails
Making a LinkedIn post sound more natural
Trimming a long paragraph to fit a word limit
